Camping Bordeaux
Bordeaux, capital of the New Aquitaine region near the campsite
Classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO for the quality of its architecture and the successful development of its quays on the Garonne. Don’t miss the Place de la Bourse and its water mirror, which is considered the largest in the world. A discovery day not to be missed.
You will be able to stroll along Saint Catherine Street, the longest pedestrian street in Europe with 1,200 meters. If you like shop windows, you will not be disappointed, all the famous brands are present and beautiful independent stores for several generations are still established.
With its street concerts, its recent movie theaters and shows (Bordeaux Metropole Arena), its bars and restaurants in the noblest Bordeaux culinary tradition you will find answers to your wildest expectations. Finally, what a pleasure to follow a match with Les Girondins de Bordeaux or Union Bordeaux Bègles in the brand new Matmut Atlantique.
Of course, the proximity of our campsite to this beautiful city is a real asset.
Bordeaux, world capital of wine.
Charming destination with more than a thousand estates, take advantage of your stay in the Medoc to go and meet this land and its exceptional wines. Since 2016, the Cité du Vin, one of the most complete museums on the history of Bordeaux wine, the grape varieties over the centuries, their particularities, will allow you to try your hand at blindly recognizing a multitude of flavors whose name is hard to find until it becomes obvious when it is revealed to us.
During your stay with us at the campsite, it’s the perfect time to enjoy our culinary heritage accompanied by good wines!
It is also the discovery of wine all over the world on all continents. The visit, which should not be shorter than 2 hours to become aware of the wealth of information and discovery it has in store for you, concludes with a tasting at the top of the building with its 360° panorama over the Garonne and Bordeaux. A real wonder.
Capital of the New Aquitaine region
BORDEAUX has undergone a facelift with the renovation of its facades and the development of its quays, the Chaban-Delmas bridge, the transformation of the Cours de l’Intendance into a pedestrian walkway and, above all, the services provided by the TRAM, which is expanding its destinations around Bordeaux.
Since 2015, Bordeaux has become the capital of the 3rd largest region in France, a new challenge for Bordeaux and the entire region with a connection to Paris in just over 2 hours.
Bordeaux is only 40 minutes away from the campsite, a proximity that allows you to benefit from the services of any city dweller of a large agglomeration while living in a strong and living Nature of fresh and salt water and forests.
A privileged situation that you can share with us.
Avoid driving around Bordeaux with your vehicle. When leaving the campsite, use the “park-and-ride lots” to discover Bordeaux by streetcar, to take in the sights and not miss a thing.
