Bordeaux
Bordeaux is only 40 minutes far from the campsite.
Bordeaux is the capital city of the region Nouvelle Aquitaine.
This city is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for it architecture and the layout of its quays. You should go to Place de la Bourse and it water mirror which is the world’s largest. You can walk in the longest pedestrian street in Europe: la rue Sainte Catherine, this street is a famous place for shopping. No matter what you are looking for, you will find what you need: impromptu concert, new movie theatres, bars and restaurants. You can also watch a football match in the football stadium of Les Girondins de Bordeaux or a rugby match in the new stadium Matmut Atlantique.
Bordeaux is as well the capital city of wine.
There are more than a thousand of wineries. Since 2016, a museum about wine worldwide history and characteristics of variety of wine has opened: la cite du vin. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to smell flavours and try to recognize. You should spend at least 2 hours. The visit ends at the top of the building with 360-degree views and tasting of one wine: wonderful!
Moreover, Bordeaux is only 2 hours far from Pairs by train!
