Is the campsite far from the beach?
The campsite is close to the beach, only 12 kilometers from the beaches of Carcans-Plage and 18 kilometers from the beach of Lacanau. You can easily reach the beach by bike by following the cycle tracks. Discover the location of Flower Camping le Médoc Bleu***.
The Vélodyssée is a 1200km cycling path joining the south-west of England to the Basque Country by following the Atlantic Ocean coast (www.lavelodyssee.com). The variant of the Vélodyssée to the east of the lake of Carcans-Hourtin has a flatter topography, limiting your efforts; this variant will bring you to 150m from the campsite. Come and see us…
Can you give us a good restaurant address in Carcans ?
According to your tastes and upon your arrival, we will show you the best addresses of the moment. For a quick meal without leaving the campsite, Claire will be happy to offer you the snack bar menu(download the 2018 menu)
Are we far from the bike paths?
Camping close to bicycle paths. Only 150 m from the entrance you will have access to more than 150 kilometers of trails existing between the campsite, the lakes and the ocean beaches. For cyclists passing through, a less strenuous variant of the Vélodyssée allows you to take a break at the campsite.
What are the opening dates of the campsite?
The campsite is open :
- from May 12 to September 26, 2021 for the rental of pitches, or Free-Flowers or cabins, requiring access to the common sanitary facilities,
- from April 03 to November 04 for the rental of Mobil-Homes.
The telephone reception is always open to handle inquiries or reservations.
What are the reception hours?
- During the off-season, the reception is open: 7 days a week from 10am to 12pm / 3pm to 6pm
- In season (July-August): 7/7 d from 8am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 7:30pm.
- When the campsite is not open: the telephone reception is maintained. If you don’t get an answer immediately, leave a message and we will call you back shortly.
Which barbecues can be used on the campsite?
Due to the high risk of fire in the surrounding forests and on the campsite, it is not allowed to make fire on the pitches. You have free access to the collective barbecues. A friendly place between vacationers where recipes and good humor are simply shared. We tolerate gas and electric barbecues on the pitches.
Do we have to bring our own linen?
All our mobile homes are equipped with blankets and pillows (except during the COVID period). They also have disposable mattress protectors.
Sheets and household linen are not provided (possibility of renting on site).
Are swim shorts allowed at the pool?
For well-known hygiene reasons, swimming shorts are not allowed in the pool.
Do the mobile homes have a television?
By choice of Claire and Michel, only the mobile homes of the PREMIUM range have television. However, some residents’ homes are equipped with them…
Can we eat and/or drink on the spot?
The snack bar of the campsite is open from July 1 to August 31. It offers breakfast, starters, various dishes prepared on the spot from fresh or frozen products and various desserts.
The snack-bar menu can be downloaded from the website, it also specifies the drinks offer and the 10 cocktails (5 alcoholic, 5 non-alcoholic) that we can make for you.
Out of season, for groups and on order, we can serve you breakfast or dinner.
Where can we rent bikes?
The campsite offers the possibility of renting adult bicycles for men and women or children, with a small child seat or a towed cart for 2 children. Download the rates.
Are baby kits available for rent?
It is possible to rent a baby kit (cot: 16 € / high chair: 10 €)
What to do in case of cancellation?
Cancellation insurance is available to cover you against life’s accidents.
