Camping Pauillac
Pauillac, close to the campsite, the city of great wines
Pauillac is known for its many vineyards and its particularly prestigious wine. The city is made up of 37 wine estates, including 18 grands crus classified in 1855 such as “Château Lafite Rothschild”, “Château Latour”, “Château Duhart-Milon” and many others that you may have the chance to taste…
As you can see, you can’t go to Pauillac without stopping at the Maison du Tourisme et du Vin de Pauillac. During your vacation stay at the campsite, you will have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar and discover all the steps of the wine making process until the tasting.
In Pauillac, located only a few minutes from the campsite, you will also discover a nice equipped marina. Take the time to have a drink on the terrace along the quays on the Gironde while enjoying a breathtaking view of the port.
These airy and very well laid out quays are the showcase of the famous Médoc Marathon (start and finish on the quays). The Medoc Marathon is known worldwide for the originality and variety of its costumes and is considered the “longest marathon in the world”. Indeed, it crosses the most beautiful wine chateaux of the area and offers to the competitors tastings all along the 42,195 km. Located east of Pauillac on the west coast, Flower Camping Le Médoc Bleu is ideally situated for accommodation of competitors, offering access to the east away from the saturated links to Bordeaux in the south or Royan in the north. Some people have understood this and make an appointment with the campsite every year. The swimming pool, still open on the weekend of the event, allows for a relaxing swim until nightfall for participants in search of recovery.
The campsite is open for the Marathon des châteaux du Médoc: next edition on September 7, 2019 – Come to the campsite!
